Advisory Board

Ellen Rieger has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ithaca College. She serves on the board of the Harborfields Public Library. Ellen has primarily used her skills over the past years as a volunteer, often taking on the treasurer's position. She has served on numerous PTA boards and the Friends of the Harborfields Public library. Ellen also served a treasurer for Dylan's Footprint, a grassroots organization in her community that raised funds, pushed through a myriad of legal issues, and built a brand new home for a young man with Duchenne's muscular Dystrophy who was living in dangerous, deplorable conditions. Her passion is working with the Guide Dog Foundation of Smithtown, N.Y. She and her family have helped more than 100 puppies in their home. Many of those have gone on to significantly improve the lives of the blind and war veterans. Ellen is honored to be serving as a board member for New Hour for Women and Children - LI and is pleased to have the opportunity to positively affect the lives of incarcerated women and their children.
