Ellie Nidds is a founding member of New Hour for Women and Children - LI Board of Directors and has previously served as treasurer. Her education includes Registered Nurse, a Master of Arts in Theology, and Certified Chaplain. She has spent the last many years working in several capacities, from case manager to director of education, at The Long Island Association Aids Care. In addition, Ellie has worked at St. Patrick's Church in Huntington, N.Y., as a parish chaplain. These experiences fulfilled her personal interests in helping suffering persons as well as honing leadership skills. Ellie considers it a pleasure to contribute to New Hour for Children's efforts to address issues regarding incarcerated and formally incarcerated women and their children.
